Luísa Schmidt, socióloga, é Investigadora Principal do Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Universidade de Lisboa, coordenadora do OBSERVA – Observatório de Ambiente, Território e Sociedade, onde desenvolve vários projetos de investigação que articulam ciências sociais e ambiente. Desde logo, refiram-se os primeiros grandes inquéritos sobre valores e práticas ambientais e também as análises mediáticas longitudinais sobre as questões de Ambiente e Natureza. Destaque também para a criação e coordenação de um sítio-web pioneiro de divulgação ambiental e científica ("Ecoline - Conhecer Mais para Mudar Melhor").
