Luis M. P. Ceríaco

Luis M. P. Ceríaco é biólogo, curador-chefe do Museu de História Natural e da Ciência da Universidade do Porto e colaborador ativo em várias coleções herpetológicas de outros museus portugueses e estrangeiros. Nos últimos dez anos, tem-se dedicado ao estudo dos anfíbios e répteis africanos, tendo descrito mais de duas dezenas de espécies novas para a ciência. Tem orientado alunos de mestrado e doutoramento em Portugal e Angola, e é editor associado das revistas científicas internacionais African Journal of Herpetology e Herpetological Review. Nos últimos anos, tem liderado várias missões de campo em Angola e São Tomé e Príncipe. Foi recentemente distinguido com uma bolsa de Explorador da National Geographic Society (2020).
