Luís Correia de Sousa é Mestre e Doutor em História da Arte – Medieval, e Licenciado em Musicologia pela FCSHumanas da Univ. Nova de Lisboa. É Investigador do Instituto de Estudos Medievais e do Centro de Estudos de Sociologia e Estética Musical (CESEM); tem desenvolvido trabalhos no domínio da iconografia medieval, sobretudo iconografia musical, sendo membro fundador do Study Group for Musical Iconography da International Musicological Society, criado em 2006. Nos últimos anos tem trabalhado, principalmente, no domínio da iluminura medieval, tendo concluído um projecto de pós-doutoramento centrado no estudo das Bíblias portáteis do século XIII. Tem trabalhado e publicado também no domínio da iconografia dos alimentos, da vinha e do vinho, no períodomedieval e renascentista.
