Lewis Beilman mora em Hamden, Connecticut, com o seu gato, Rico, e a sua cadela, Shayla. Aprendeu a jogar futebol num parque infantil em Düsseldorf, na Alemanha, e começou a escrever a sério quando era adolescente, em Trumbull, Connecticut. Agora, já adulto, com um trabalho e responsabilidades de gente grande, tenta encontrar o máximo de tempo possível para manter a sua criança interior viva, jogando futebol amador com os amigos e escrevendo histórias como O Pequeno Özil.
