Lamya Sharaby nasceu no Egito, em 1996, e tem um bacharelato em Literatura Inglesa pela Universidade do Cairo.
O seu interesse especial por livros infantis fez com que começasse a aprender a desenhar sozinha, tendo já participado em diversos projetos de ilustração.
O seu trabalho mais recente é My Adventure in Alexandria.
