Licenciado em Engenharia Informática e de Computadores pelo Instituto Superior Técnico. Responsável no CERN, Genebra, por um dos componentes do software online para a experiência ATLAS. Colaborador do Centro de Física Nuclear da Universidade de Lisboa e no programa de mestrado da Universidade de Sunderland, Inglaterra, no campo das bases de dados de grande volume aplicadas à experimentação em física das altas energias. Co-autor do livro Programação em Visual Basic 6, editado pela FCA.
