É portador da doença degenerativa de Stargardt, que lhe tem agravado a visão, a ponto de não ler o que escreve pelo seu próprio punho.
O contacto com a ACAPO, associação de apoio a cegos e amblíopes, trouxe novas esperanças na realização do seu sonho.
A partir de então, passou a escrever regularmente no computador. Em 2010 editou o seu 1.º livro, em 2011 editou o 2.º livro, Nunca mais te vi , em 2013 o 3.º livro, Gente Sem Governo e em 2015 publicou o 4.º livro 1.º de poesia A inquietude do silêncio.
O Elefante Branco é o seu primeiro livro para a infância.
