Engineer, Bachelor's, PhD and Habilitation in Civil Engineering from IST, currently a researcher at LNEC.
He taught at the Faculty of Engineering of the Catholic University, where he was a visiting Associate Professor.
He has participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences and meetings, and has taught and organized multiple advanced training courses in Acoustics.
He is also part of the panel of guest speakers in master's and doctoral programs at national universities.
He is President of the Portuguese Society of Acoustics and the Ibero-American Federation of Acoustics, and is also a member of the Specialization Committee in Acoustic Engineering of the Order of Engineers.
