Jean Flori

Jean Flori was born in Lillebonne in 1936, is a medievalist and holds a doctorate in Literature and Human Sciences.
He was the research director at the National Center for Sociological Research and worked at the Center for Advanced Studies of Medieval Civilizations in Poitiers (France).
He is the author of several books about chivalry, among them... L'ideologie du Glaive. Prehistoire de la Chevalerie; L'essor de la Chevalerie, 11ème — 12ème siècles; La Chevalerie en France au Moyen Age and Chevaliers et Chevalerie au Moyen Age.
