Concluiu um MBA na Harvard Business School, formando-se com distinção em 1986. Integra a administração do Harvard Business School Club de Nova Iorque. Foi co-autor com Richard A. Smith do livro The Five Patterns of Extraordinary Careers e foi autor de Zoom!: How 12 Exceptional Companies Are Navigating the Road to the Next Economy.
