Gianrico Carofiglio

Nascido em 1961, em Bari, Gianrico Carofiglio é magistrado de profissão, foi membro do Senado italiano e juiz antimáfia, tendo participado em variadíssimos casos de crime organizado, corrupção, prostituição e tráfico humano. O seu primeiro romance, Testimone inconsapevole, foi um êxito de vendas e desde então tem recebido inúmeros galardões, como o XXXVI Premio Città di Chiavari, Premio delle Biblioteche di Roma, Grinzane Piemonte Noir Sezione Giallo Italiano, entre outros.
Em todo o mundo, os seus romances venderam para cima de 4 milhões de exemplares e permaneceu durante dois meses seguidos no 1.º lugar da lista de livros mais vendidos. Os direitos de tradução das suas obras foram cedidos para 24 países.
