Os seus livros estão já traduzidos para cerca de 30 línguas e comovem leitores em todos os cantos do mundo. Em Portugal, cabe à Topseller a publicação da sua vasta obra.
Cresceu numa quinta no Texas, casou-se quando tinha 20 anos e tirou uma licenciatura em Serviço Social. Trabalhou nos Serviços de Proteção de Menores e concluiu a formação em Educação Especial e Nutrição Infantil.
Em 2015, criou The Bookworm Box, um clube de subscrição de livros autografados pelos respetivos autores e cujos fundos se destinam a instituições de solidariedade social.
