Sanjay Gupta é um dos médicos mais conhecidos do mundo. Licenciou-se em Medicina pela Universidade do Michigan, tendo-se especializado depois em neurocirurgia. Durante dois anos foi conselheiro na Casa Branca e, em janeiro de 2009, foi convidado para o cargo de Cirurgião-Geral dos EUA pelo presidente Barack Obama, mas declinou. Atualmente é o principal especialista médico da cadeia de televisão CNN. Tem vários livros publicados.
