Carla Manuela da Assunção Fernandes é Doutora em Gestão de Empresas – especialização em Finanças, na Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra, Mestre em Ciências Empresariais – especialização em Finanças e Licenciada em Economia pela mesma instituição. É docente no Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração da Universidade de Aveiro. Tem participado em cursos de mestrado, pós-graduação e licenciatura, lecionando disciplinas da área de finanças. Tem publicado artigos em diversas revistas científicas.
