Aurelio Vargas Díaz-Toledo

Aurelio Vargas Díaz-Toledo (Toledo, 1978) é Doutor em Filologia Românica e Prémio Extraordinário de Doutoramento pela Universidade Complutense de Madrid, com uma tese sobre La edición crítica del Leomundo de Grécia (Funchal, 2012), um livro de cavalarias manuscrito do português Tristão Gomes de Castro.
Editou a primeira parte castelhana do livro de cavalarias Palmerín de Ingalaterra (Toledo, herdeiros de Fernando de Santa Catherina, 1547), do português Francisco de Moraes.

Atualmente, é Investigador FCT na U.Porto e diretor do projeto de investigação com financiamento europeu intitulado Base de dados sobre a Matéria Cavalereisca Portuguesa dos séculos XVI–XVIII, desenvolvido no Seminário Medieval de Literatura, Pensamento e Sociedade (SMELPS), do Instituto de Filosofia cujos resultados se podem ver em: O Universo de Almourol.
