Chef, escritor e apresentador de televisão, nasceu em Nova Iorque em 1956 e faleceu no dia 8 de junho de 2018. Anthony Bourdain tornou-se conhecido com o livro Cozinha Confidencial - Aventuras no Submundo da Restauração.
Apresentou o programa de aventuras culturais e culinárias Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, exibido na SIC Radical.
Viveu em Manhattan e trabalhou como chef executivo na Brasserie Les Halles. No The New Yorker publicou a sua exposição contundente de restaurantes de NYC, «Don’t Eat Before Reading This», com uma crítica incrível. O sucesso do artigo, tanto nos EUA como no estrangeiro, serviu como catalisador e base para o livro de enorme sucesso: Cozinha Confidencial - Aventuras no Submundo.
