Prefere a Nikon à Canon e as mulheres aos homens, mas está disposto a fazer o que for necessário por dinheiro e aventura . Gosta de quartos de hotel sem vistas, e de comer peixe ao pequeno almoço. O seu trabalho tem figurado nas revistas Rolling Stone, GQ, Food & Wine e no jornal New York Times. Colabora também nos livros L.A. SON, da autoria de Roy Choi, e The Red Rooster Cookbook, de Marcus Samuelsson.
