Annabel Lyon é uma jovem escritora canadiana cuja obra recebeu já os mais destacados elogios. Em 2000 publicou o seu primeiro livro, Oxygen, uma colectânea de contos, e, em 2004, The Best Thing for You, livro que reúne três novelas e que foi nomeado para o Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize. Aristóteles e Alexandre é o seu primeiro romance, e foi galardoado com o Prémio de Ficção Rogers Writers’ Trust de 2009.
A autora reside actualmente em Vancouver.
