Em 1995 auditor financeiro da kpmg. Desde 1996 na Direção-Geral do Orçamento, em 2008 como coordenador da equipa de projetos rigore, desde 2013 como diretor de contabilidade e membro do Comité de Normalização Contabilística Público da cnc e desde 2017 também como membro da Unileo. Em 2009 presidente do Conselho de Normalização Contabilística da cncap. Em 2015 pós-graduado em Métodos Analíticos Aplicados às Finanças Públicas (iseg e nova-ims da unl). Em 1994 licenciado em Economia (Universidade Lusíada).
