John Sweeney

John Sweeney é um escritor e jornalista de investigação britânico. Trabalhou 12 anos no jornal The Observer, onde cobriu guerras e revoltas em mais de 60 territórios, incluindo Roménia, Argélia, Iraque, Chechénia, Burundi e Bósnia. Trabalhou 17 anos na BBC e, em 2019, passou a trabalhar como jornalista independente.
Estava em Kiev quando, em fevereiro de 2022, a Rússia lançou a ofensiva militar sobre a Ucrânia, tendo permanecido na capital ucraniana.
É autor de mais de dez livros. Assassino no Kremlin é um retrato biográfico de Vladimir Putin que resulta de 22 anos a investigar o ex-espião e agora presidente da Rússia.
