John Lloyd

John Lloyd é presidente da Quite Interesting Ltd e produtor do programa da BBC QI. QI é uma criação de John Lloyd, produtor de Not The Nine O'Clock News, Spitting Image e Blackadder.
Depois de um começo promissor na King's School, em Cantebury, John foi trabalhar para um pub perto do Trinity College, em Cambridge, onde acabou por ser descoberto por um homem da BBC.
Numa mudança radical de atitude, passou os 15 anos que se seguiram a trabalhar como um louco. Lançou o The News Quiz, Quote... Unquote, o The News Huddlines e o To The Manor Born, desempenhou um papel importante em The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy e em Mr. Bean, filmando anúncios para televisão nos tempos livres.
Durante grande parte dos anos 80 não almoçou e dormia 4 horas por noite. Ganhou um número absurdo de prémios e ficou muito, muito cansado.
Repentinamente, na véspera de Natal de 1993, chegou à alarmante conclusão de que na verdade não sabia nada.
É muito mais feliz enquanto produtor de televisão, um emprego em que 98% do trabalho não é feito por ele, mas por alguém que sabe o que está a fazer.
