Christopher Hitchens
Christopher Hitchens (Portsmouth, 13 de abril de 1949 – Houston, 15 de dezembro de 2011) foi um jornalista, escritor e crítico literário. «Nunca haverá ninguém como o Christopher», escreveu a Vanity Fair no seu obituário, sublinhando ainda outras qualidades: «Crítico incomparável, sagaz, destemido e bon vivant.»
Hitchens licenciou-se em Oxford. Considerado um dos «100 melhores intelectuais do mundo» pela Foreign Policy e pela Britain's Prospect, escreveu para as mais prestigiadas publicações, como o New Statesman, London Evening Standard, London's Daily Express, The Nation, Harper's, The Spectator, The Times Literary Supplement, New York Newsday, The Atlantic e a revista Slate.
