Simon Schama

Sir Simon Schama, nascido em Londres em 1945, é professor universitário de História da Arte e de História na Universidade de Columbia, em Nova Iorque. As suas obras, várias vezes premiadas, estão publicadas em quinze línguas e incluem Scribble, Scribble, Scribble; O Futuro da América; Rough Crossings (vencedor do National Book Critics Circle Award); The Power of Art; Dead Certainties (Unwarranted Speculations); The Embarrassment of Riches; Citizens; Landscape and Memory; Rembrandt’s Eyes; A History of Britain e A História dos Judeus (publicado pela Temas e Debates).
As suas colunas sobre arte para a revista The New Yorker valeram-lhe o National Magazine Award.
