The Nation Across The World

The Nation Across the World examines the present state of the 'nation' in various political and cultural formations right around the world - from Fiji, Singapore, and Trinidad to Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Great Britain, Spain, and the USA. The issues explored include empire, colony, race, resistance, liberation, national identity, migration, hybridity and cosmopolitan world movements. The seventeen contributors come from all parts of the gloce, andinclude Vikram Seth, Austin Clarke and Homi Bhabha.
