The Call Up

A study of National Service, or the Call Up, which operated in Britain in the years immediately after the Second World War. Men of all classes were enlisted in the Armed Forces in order to bolster Britain's military might. This book tells the story of individual men and there by tells the story of the whole Call Up process.
