Li a duologia The Celestial Kingdom, de Sue Lynn Tan no ano passado e simplesmente fiquei apaixonada. Apaixonada pelas personagens, pelas suas histórias de vida, pelos settings, enfim, por tudo. No entanto, fiquei com a sensação de que faltava algo, sem saber muito bem explicar o quê. A resposta está em Tales of Celestial Kingdom. Neste pequeno livro encontramos mini contos, sob a perspectiva de diferentes personagens que nos dão uma melhor visão do que se passou antes, durante e depois de A Filha da Deusa Lua e Coração do Guerreiro Sol. Gostei principalmente da primeira história, onde aprendemos mais sobre o passado da Deusa da Lua e da sua ascensão, e das últimas histórias, que contam os momentos seguintes, e finais, ao Coração do Guerreiro Sol. Foi um atar de pontas soltas simplesmente divinal. Para quem já leu a duologia, este livro vem completar o mundo que já conhecemos. Para quem ainda não leu, e queira fazer parte desta aventura, sugiro que a intercalem com os contos para uma experiência mais imersiva.

Sue Lynn Tan escreve fantasia inspirada nos mitos e lendas por que se apaixonou enquanto criança. Nascida na Malásia, estudou em Londres e França, antes de se estabelecer em Hong Kong, com a sua família. O seu amor pelas histórias começou com um presente do seu pai, uma compilação de contos de fada oriundos do mundo inteiro, que a fizeram passar boa parte da sua infância em reinos mágicos. Quando não está a ler ou a escrever, adora explorar as colinas, os lagos e os templos que rodeiam a sua casa.
