Pre-Columbian Woven Treasures In The National Museum Of Denmark

The National Museum of Denmark houses a collection of about 500 textiles found in pre-Columbian Peruvian graves which were excavated at the turn of the 20th century. Dating from 500 BC to 1500 AD, many of the textiles were found at the ceremonial temple site of Pachacamac to the south of Lima. Others were found in Paracas or the Peruvian highlands.
