Michael Edward Palin é comediante, ator, escritor e apresentador de televisão. Famoso por ser um dos membros do grupo Monty Python e pelos seus documentários sobre viagens, Palin protagonizou alguns dos mais famosos momentos dos Monty Python, incluindo Papagaio Morto, A Canção do Lenhador, Inquisição Espanhola, entre outros. Também participou em vários filmes, entre os quais Um Peixe Chamado Wanda, tendo ganho um prémio BAFTA. Depois dos Monty Python, começou uma nova carreira como escritor de viagens.
