Not so long ago, it wasn't the lottery that everyone dreamed of winning, it was The Pools. For young mum-to-be, Nina, working in the rag trade in 70s London, that single line on the office coupon shared with her boss's wife offered her a chance to move her family out of their 2 room-flat. But with war breaking out in her native home of Cyprus, her husband detained in Greece for possible National Service, she didn't immediately notice when her boss's wife seemed to be celebrating an unlikely windfall. A life-changing sum of money had been stolen, with no help and no proof she did not provide much of a threat... But they didn't reckon on Nina...
