Eu já gostava muito da escrita desta autora e este livro não desapontou pois tal como o "The love hypothesis" este livro envolve uma das minhas tropes favoritas a do "fake dating". Apesar de ambos os livros serem um pouco diferentes neste aspeto, aqui a personagem principal oferece os seus serviços como "fake girlfriend" e foi isto que primeiramente me chamou a atenção. A Ali Hazelwood tem um grande talento em escrever romance num sítio onde naturalmente é dificil este brotar, sendo que só os mais firmes sobrevivem a este tipo de ambiente académico, principalmente mulheres, e é por isso que eu gosto muito dos livros dela. Amei a história da Elsie.

Love, Theoretically é o clássico enemies-to-lovers trope com uma reviravolta interessante na forma do enredo "Ele apaixonou-se primeiro, mas ela apaixonou-se mais forte". Oficialmente o meu livro favorito dela! A personagem principal Elsie tem a constante necessidade de agradar as pessoas e é bom ver essa personalidade representada. Ela cria múltiplas personalidades que a fazem esquecer quem ela é e ao ser a melhor versão para os outros, Elsie começa a perder-se. Jack ajuda Elise a reencontrar-se e isso torna a história realmente romântica. A progressão de Jack e Elsie fez-me sorrir de orelha a orelha. Adorei as brincadeiras e a tensão sexual entre eles! O Jack Smith é o melhor book boyfriend que a Ali Hazelwood alguma vez criou!!!
