La Transgenese ; Quelle Application Pour La Faune Aquatique Et Dans Les Programmes De L'Ifremer ?

Ce document expose les données actuelles en matière de transgenèse, technique d'introduction d'un fragment de génome étranger dans un autre organisme et aboutissant à un OGM, et ses applications. La transgenèse et les différentes techniques de transfection sont expliquées et les enjeux et les risques sont abordés. En fait, trois situations apparaissent : 1 - obtention d'outils performants pour la recherche fondamentale et appliquée, 2 - utilisation d'un OGM pour la production d'une protéine recombinante, 3 - production d'organismes modifiés pour diverses aptitudes agronomiques ou industrielles (et problème de la libération des OGM). Les caractéristiques de la faune aquatique sont discutées pour ces applications ainsi que la position de l'Ifremer sur cette question. Transgenesis is the artificial introduction of a pièce of a foreign genome into another organism, resulting in a GIWO. Transgenesis and the different techniques of transfection are explained. The stakes and the risks are discussed. In fact, three tasks become evident : (1) to build very efficient tools for scientific research, basic and applied, (2) use of a GMO for the production of a recombinant protein, (3) production of organisms modified to provide various agronomic and industrial capabilities (and the problem of the release of GMOs). The characteristics of aquatic fauna are discussed for such applications and Ifremer's position on this question is presented. Key-words: transgenesis, DNA, RNA, GMO, aquatic fauna, genetics.
