Um livro bastante intrigante sobre o quotidiano das mulheres coreanas. Bem como, a evolução dos seus direitos ao longo do tempo, todos os obstáculos e dificuldades pelos quais passaram para chegar até aos dias de hoje. Todas estas premissas vividas através da pelo de Kim Jiyoung. Incrível!

Gostei muito deste livro e da experiência de leitura. O primeiro capitulo do livro começa de forma um pouco estranha e parece que nos perdemos um pouco a tentar perceber o que se passa mas depois disso o livro muda completamente. Adorei a forma como a autora conseguiu incluir tanta informação sobre a vida na Coreia do Sul ao longo de várias gerações, mas de uma forma muito natural e interessante. Aprendemos muitos factos sobre a demográfia, economia, leis laborais e discrepancias existentes nestes contextos entre homens e mulheres - tudo enquanto acompanhamos a vida de Kim Jiyoung. É uma obra muito importante que devia ser lida por todos, pois mostra-nos a realidade das mulheres na Coreia do Sul, há bem pouco tempo.

Livro super interessante sobre a realidade de uma mulher coreana e as dificuldades que enfrenta devido às ainda muito vincadas desigualdades de género. É um livro pequeno que se lê facilmente, mas isso não lhe tira de todo a importância.

Cho Nam-Joo
Cho Nam-Joo nasceu em Seul, na Coreia do Sul, e foi guionista para televisão.
Para escrever este livro, baseou-se na sua própria experiência como uma mulher que deixou o emprego para se tornar dona de casa depois do nascimento da filha.
Kim Jiyoung, nascida em 1982 é o seu terceiro romance, teve grande impacto nos debates sobre desigualdade e discriminação de género tanto no seu país como no resto do mundo.
