This book is a critical assessment of the policies and programmes initiated by the central and state governments based on the recommendations of the Sachar Committee Report, aimed at advancing social and economic development of socio-religious minorities in India. The book identifies policies and institutions necessary for ensuring the constitutional right to equal opportunity of its religious minorities, specially Muslims.
