It begins with the battered corpse of Crispin Salvador, pulled from the Hudson River; taken from the world, the controversial lion of Philippine literature. But his student, Miguel, is unconvinced by the official investigation and sets off on a journey of his own to uncover the truth behind this mysterious and politically significant death.
