Livro de fantasia com um mundo bastante bem pensado e descrito, com alguns elementos de ficção científica e com inimigos que se apaixonam. A narrativa segue a Talasyn que tem um poder que se espera que destrua as sombras do Império da noite, que tem vindo a conquistar e anexar a região de Talasyn. A batalha entre luz e sombras faz lembrar “Sombra e Ossos” de Leigh Bardugo, mas com um tom mais adulto. A aparição de uma ameaça que pode destruir os dois reinos leva a que Talasyn tenha de colaborar com Alaric, o comandante chefe do reino da noite. A inicial relutância em trabalharem juntos e serem inimigos declarados poderá levar a algo mais? Indispensável para quem gosta do género literário em emergência de fantasia romântica (com um romance slowburn, casamento de conveniência), inspirado no sudeste asiático.
