Estudou Literatura Inglesa, trabalhou como artista na área da performance e é realizadora de filmes e autora de textos para banda desenhada (Skim e Emiko Superstar) e também do romance juvenil (You) Set Me on Fire.
Finalmente o Verão é a segunda novela gráfica que cria em colaboração com a ilustradora Jillian Tamaki.¿
