This book left me with mixed feelings. While I sort of enjoyed the plot, I found it a little bit difficult to connect with the characters because there wasn't any proper inner development in them as there was in the previous books from the saga. "Crossed" takes us to the small village of Festivalité and introduces us to its inhabitants, while focusing on the life of Amaya Paquette, the town's witch, as they like to call her. In spite of the gossiping, Amaya tries to live a normal life, while taking care of her younger brother, Quinten, and paying the never ending debt her mother, Chantelle, owns to the town's richest man, Parker. Amaya thinks she has everything under control, or so it seems to be, until a new priest comes into town, Father Cade Frédéric... After his arrival things will never be the same. This is a story full of mystery, which makes us reflect on how far people will go to protect themselves and their loved ones and challenge how much they respect their beliefs. It is not an easy read, so be aware that there are violent scenes in it.

Este livro é para quem adora taboo, se gostam de histórias mais diferentes e que raramente acontecem na vida real podem ler crossed porque é isto que este livro entrega!! Não é pesado apesar do romance ser entre um padre e uma dançarina exótica (referindo aqui o taboo) mas se não se importarem acho que os que os personagens fazem não vai ser um problema. Recomendo imenso para quem gosta de histórias diferentes que não se vê assim tanto nos livros de romance a que estamos habituadas!!
