The pilgrimage of American writers to Paris began with Henry James over a century ago, and has continued in waves ever since. This book focuses on the immediate post-World War II period, when the literary figures in Paris included Hemingway, Stein, Burroughs, Ginsberg, Corso, Baldwin and Hines.
