SOBRE O AUTOR

Miguel Barnet

Miguel Barnet nasceu em Havana, Cuba, em 1940. É poeta, etnólogo, ensaísta e romancista. A sua tetralogia cubana El Cimarrón, La canción de Rachel, Gallego e La vida real é hoje considerada como uma valiosa «recolha» da sociedade cubana do século XX. A sua obra, tanto ensaística como poética, é muito vasta. Publicou ainda Los perros mudos e Oficio de ángel. Fundou em 1995 a Fundación Fernández Ortiz em Havana, da qual é director.
