An account of the experiences of a conscript during the final weeks of the Third Reich. He experienced training immediately behind the front line east of Berlin, was caught up in the Soviet assault on Berlin, retreated successfully and took part in the fight for Spandau, where he became one of two survivors of his company of 17 year-olds.
