Belladonna

O ambiente gótico foi uma das coisas que mais gostei no livro. Não gostava nada a contar com a investigação, foi uma bela surpresa e acho que deu ritmo à história. Ansiosa por ler o próximo :)

Livro incrível para quem deseja começar a entrar no mundo de fantasias góticas - apesar de se enquadrar nesta categoria, torna-se bastante fácil de acompanhar a história pois não deixa de ser um livro YA. É particularmente interessante por ter a morte como uma das suas personagens.

I went into Belladonna skeptical because I had never read a gothic fantasy romance - but what greeted me was something greater than I could have ever imagined. We follow Signa, an orphan girl who can see spirits from people who have passed away, as she has the opportunity to go live with her last remaining relatives. Upon arrival, Signa starts understanding that things are not what they seem to be and that the family is under threat. So, with the help of Death (yes, death is a real character here), they vow to find whoever may be poisoning the family and save them all before it's too late. The twists and turns in this book kept me on my toes the entire time, I never once felt like there were dull moments, and, oh, have I mentioned that Signa may be finding herself falling in love with Death as they work together to figure out this mystery?
