Este livro tem um lugar especial no meu coração. Acompanho a jornada de dois rapazes que se conhecem pela primeira vez na infância e por muito diferentes que possam parecer algo os une. Uma amizade comovente que nos faz sentir tudo à flor da pele! Nunca tinha lido nada deste autor mas a escrita é super fluida , simples para quem quer começar a ler em inglês e treinar!

É um livro tão doce. A relação destes dois, os pais deles.. deixa mesmo um quentinho. Todas as personagens estão muito bem construídas e o desenvolvimento da história deixa o leitor agarrado ao livro. Recomendo recomendo recomendo.

Estava um pouco reciosa para ler ´´Aristotle and Dante discover the Secrets of the Universe´´ pois tinha ouvido que o autor tinha sido transfóbico no livro... entendi o porquê de o dizerem, mas a história acontece numa América nos finais dos anos 80 e Aristóteles estava a crescer e a descobrir se a si mesmo, muita gente se esquece de pensar no enquadramento das histórias e por vezes é muito importante. Enquanto lia o livro senti uma ligação em vários aspetos entre Aristóteles e Holden em ´´The Catcher in the Rye´´

Benjamin Alire Sáenz
Autor multipremiado de livros para adultos, adolescentes e crianças, Benjamin Alire Sáenz nasceu em 1954, no Novo México, Estados Unidos. Dirige o departamento de Escrita Criativa da Universidade do Texas, em El Paso. O seu primeiro livro de poemas, Calendar of Dust, ganhou o American Book Award em 1992.
