Ancient Worlds Inside Out presents primary-source artefacts as small pieces of information gathered together to offer a greater understanding of an ancient civilization as a whole. Each book features artefacts from a particular civilization, which young readers are encouraged to evaluate as evidence of cultural practices, ways of life, and the achievements of the civilization. Questions help prompt discussion and a final activity encourages readers to act as historians and draw out information themselves.
