Assyrian Samuel Shimon, known as a relentless raconteur, a modern Odysseus, the Iraqi Don Quixote, dreams of becoming a Hollywood film-maker, but ends up in Paris, a homeless refugee, writing, with wit & humour, the story of his Iraqi childhood, his deaf-dumb father and his heroes John Ford and Jean Valjean as a timely 'manifesto of tolerance'.
