An History Of Birmingham

William Hutton, a Birmingham bookseller, published his first work, of which the 1783 second edition is reissued here, in his late fifties. It was greatly praised, and encouraged Hutton to continue writing. His famous walking exploits led to his account of Hadrian's Wall (also reissued in this series).
