Amos Oz
Amos Oz (1939-2018) é o escritor israelita mais conhecido e lido no mundo. Nascido em Jerusalém, viveu os últimos anos da sua vida em Telavive. Dedicou-se à militância a favor da paz entre palestinianos e israelitas, foi professor de literatura na Universidade BenGurion, no deserto do Neguev, e membro da Academia da Língua Hebraica. Os seus livros receberam as mais importantes distinções internacionais, incluindo o Prémio Femina (1988), o Prémio da Paz dos Livreiros Alemães (1992), o Prémio Israel de Literatura (1998), o Prémio Goethe (2005), o Prémio Grinzane Cavour (2007), o Prémio Príncipe das Astúrias (2007), o Prémio Franz Kafka (2013), o Prémio Pak Kyongni (Coreia, 2015) e o Prémio Bottari Lattes Grinzane (Itália, 2016). Judas, o seu último romance, foi galardoado com o Prémio Internacional de Literatura – Casa das Culturas do Mundo 2015 (Alemanha).
