W. G. Sebald

W.G. Sebald was born in 1944 in Wertach, Germany. He lived in Norwich, United Kingdom, from 1970, where he taught German Literature. A prose writer and essayist, he is the author of books that have marked contemporary literature, such as... Saturn's Rings, Austerlitz, The Emigrants or Natural History of DestructionHe has been awarded, among others, the Mörike, Heinrich Böll, Heinrich Heine, and Joseph Breitbach literary prizes.
W.G. Sebald died in 2001.
