ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Adania Shibli

Adania Shibli nasceu em 1974 na Palestina.
Doutorada pela Universidade de East London, tem escrito romances, peças de teatro, contos e ensaios narrativos, que foram publicados em várias antologias, livros de arte e revistas literárias e culturais em diferentes línguas.
Foi distinguida duas vezes com o Prémio Jovem Escritor da Fundação A. M. Qattan da Palestina: em 2001 pelo seu romance Masaas, e em 2003 pelo seu romance Kulluna Ba'id bi-dhat al-Miqdar 'an al-Hubb.
Um Detalhe Menor, o seu mais recente romance, foi finalista do National Book Award 2020, na categoria de Literatura Traduzida, e do International Booker Prize 2021.
Empenhada na investigação académica, ensina desde 2013 no Departamento de Filosofia e de Estudos Culturais da Universidade de Birzeit, na Palestina, dividindo o seu tempo entre Jerusalém e Berlim.
