ABOUT THE AUTHOR

David Lodge

David Lodge (London, January 28, 1935 – January 1, 2025) was an English writer and critic. He studied English Literature, which he taught at the University of Birmingham between 1960 and 1987, when he retired from teaching to dedicate himself entirely to writing.
Among the novels he authored are... "News from Paradise" and "Therapy", also published by Gradiva. In addition to writing novels, David Lodge authored several important essays on literature, and also wrote television series, including the adaptation of "Lunch is Never Free", which won the award for Best Television Series of 1989 from Royal Television Society.
