The Tanner Lectures on Human Values was established by the American scholar, industrialist, and philanthropist Obert Clark Tanner. Volume 36 features lectures given during the academic year 2015-2016 at the University of Oxford, Princeton University, Stanford University, the University of Utah, Yale University, and Ochanomizu University, Tokyo.
